* Hafiz Saeed founded LT in 1985
* The group was blamed for attacks in Mumbai and Delhi in 2003, 2005, 2008
* Musharraf banned the LT in 2002
* The outfit was replaced by the JD
* In August 2006, Saeed was detained, but was later released
* In 2008, the government proscribed the JD, and placed Saeed under house arrest but again did not press charges.
