LAHORE: The nation’s soldiers are fighting the Taliban with the support of the people and parliament to ensure Pakistan’s survival, President Asif Ali Zardari said late on Friday.
The president said he saluted the “brothers and sisters” who were displaced by the war, and were facing hardship for the sake of the nation. He also announced the establishment of an army cantonment in Swat to ensure lasting peace in the region.
