It seems that the battle we are waging against terror is to be taken soon into the treacherous terrain of Waziristan. The NWFP governor has stated unequivocally that orders have been given to go after and get Baitullah Mehsud, the pivotal figure of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan. Reports are already coming in of action in areas bordering Waziristan and efforts in the agency itself to take out key militants. The ISPR has not as yet confirmed the start of the operation there, but there are indications this is not far away.
